The Netherlands, October 13th. Plenitude, Società Benefit 100% owned by Eni, that integrates production from renewables, the sale of gas and electricity, energy services and a large network of electric vehicle charging points is launching the first-ever One To Zero Challenge: a worldwide search for sustainable energy solutions that optimise the integration of Plenitude’s three key business areas: Retail, E-mobility and Renewables.

The One To Zero Challenge, aimed at collaborating with bold startups and scale-ups to build integrated energy solutions to accelerate the energy transition, is in partnership with Unknown Group. A global venture capital and open innovation firm, Unknown supports Plenitude to explore new collaboration opportunities with founders of sustainable energy startups.

As an outpost of Eni’s decarbonisation strategy, Plenitude is part of the broader commitment to create value through the energy transition.

Plenitude has the goal to achieve net zero Scope 3 emissions by 2040 thanks to an integrated and diversified model that will provide 100% decarbonised energy to all its customers.

With the new Plenitude One To Zero Challenge, startups will test and scale their energy innovations in partnership with the company. At the moment, Plenitude is providing electricity and gas to around 10 million households and businesses across Europe and it is developing solar and wind projects, with 6GW capacity expected to be in place by 2025 and more than 15GW by 2030, from 1.5 GW today. Through its subsidiary Be Charge, to a capillary network of over 9,000 charging stations for electric vehicles.

The competition is centred around enabling founders who focus on sustainable energy solutions that optimise the integration of Plenitude’s three key business areas: Retail, E-mobility, and Renewables.

What are founders expected to have? A clear vision of the future, a pilot-ready solution, and a passion for striving for a better tomorrow.

Selected startups and scale-ups earn the opportunity to collaborate with Plenitude on potential Proof of Concept projects (PoCs) or pilot collaborations with the company’s Retail, E-Mobility or Renewables business lines. Beyond that, chosen companies will also unlock access to Plenitude’s expertise, knowledge and network and earn visibility and exposure on Plenitude’s communication channels. Furthermore, winning solutions to this challenge will receive an invite to the Golden Buzz: ZERO ACCELERATOR Selection Day, skipping through the application and screening processes.

A world where 100% of the energy supply is decarbonised motivates Plenitude’s ambition to join bold founders and contribute together towards this goal. By combining its resources, competencies, and expertise with impactful solutions from innovative founders, Plenitude plans to scale its existing portfolio of installed renewable energy capacity to 15GW by 2030!

It’s time to act, founders. Seize this opportunity to make your mark and create a difference in the world. Applications for the One To Zero Challenge 2022 are open until October 28th, 2022
